Work Experience Program

Blaze Your Trail helps develop talent for the Salesforce ecosystem and the for-purpose sector in several unique and impactful ways, with a strong focus on social impact and workforce inclusion:

Work Experience Program for Diverse Talent

Blaze Your Trail runs a free work experience program tailored for:

  • Skilled migrants

  • Career returners

  • People from underrepresented backgrounds

Participants gain hands-on experience working on real Salesforce projects under the guidance of certified consultants. This includes:

  • Salesforce configuration and administration

  • Data migration

  • Automation using Flows and Process Builder

  • Reporting and dashboards

  • AppExchange integrations

They also learn project documentation, stakeholder engagement, and Agile delivery methods.

Mentoring and Certification Support

Blaze Your Trail provides:

  • One-on-one mentoring with experienced Salesforce professionals

  • Support in completing Trailhead modules, Superbadges, and Salesforce certifications

  • Peer learning through a community of practice

Real Projects for Real Charities

Rather than simulated environments, participants work on live Salesforce implementations for small charities and social enterprises. This gives them:

  • A portfolio of work

  • Real client feedback

  • Exposure to common nonprofit use cases via Salesforce

Pathways into Employment

Blaze Your Trail helps program graduates:

  • Build LinkedIn profiles and resumes tailored to Salesforce roles

  • Prepare for interviews

  • Connect with potential employers in the ecosystem

Graduates go on to work as Salesforce Admins, Consultants, Developers, and Analysts across Australia and beyond.

Advocacy and Employer Engagement

Blaze Your Trail actively promotes inclusive hiring by:

  • Educating employers on the value of diverse talent

  • Encouraging skills-based hiring rather than credential bias

  • Partnering with Salesforce partners, customers, and ISVs to place talent

In Summary

Blaze Your Trail is building a more diverse, capable, and socially aware Salesforce ecosystem by:

  • Upskilling talent

  • Giving practical experience

  • Connecting people to meaningful work

We believe experience shouldn’t depend on who you know. Our program creates real pathways into meaningful, paid work — while helping charities access skilled Salesforce support.
