Shanthi Sankaranarayanan graduated with a BTech in Engineering in 2005. She then moved into a career in recruitment and human resources, but it is her dream to be a Salesforce Developer.
Shanthi explains this...
“After 10 plus years in recruitment, I needed to make a choice between recruitment and Salesforce for my career future and I was determined to land a job in the Salesforce ecosystem.
“I signed up to volunteer with St Kilda Mums in 2018 and had an opportunity to meet Jessica to become a part of her amazing team. That’s when I decided that I wanted to make the leap to become a Salesforce Developer. Although I wasn’t sure how I’d get there.
“But due to unforeseen circumstances, I was not able to continue my volunteering (we were thrilled to welcome our little princess to this beautiful world!). I made a commitment to myself and started self-learning with Trailhead, and it’s been a game-changer for me. Two years of learning helped me to land in my first Salesforce Administrator Job.
“Recently, I got an opportunity to become part of the wonderful Blaze Your Trail Team and am looking forward to upskilling my technical skills.”
Shanthi is working towards her Salesforce Administrator certification, and in 2021 completed an 8-week course thanks to saasguru. What amazes Jessica about Shanthi and the other Blaze volunteers is how much they know about the platform, and how creative they can be.
Shanthi was volunteer of the week in 2021 because she solved a problem when Jessica got stuck. The team had a problem with reporting on activities and Shanthi solved this.
