Despite having a Bachelor of Engineering & Computer Science, and over 10 years I.T. experience in mobile and digital banking, Priya joined the Blaze Your Trail Work Experience Program as (in her own words) “a complete beginner in Salesforce.”
Priya quickly built up her Salesforce knowledge by enthusiastically embracing our program's hands-on training classes, and gained real-life experience working with other volunteers on pro-bono Salesforce projects for numerous small Non Profits. It wasn’t long before her hard work paid off, securing a role as a Business Analyst with the Department of Education.
Priya says, “Patsy explained each topic in a clear way and gave us enough time to try things out on our own, which helped me learn faster. Working together as a self-organised team on real projects also showed me how pro bono work actually runs in real life and gave me confidence to handle tasks in a proper project setting.”
