Yesterday, our Volunteer Development Team presented two Salesforce solutions they designed and built themselves, and we were genuinely blown away by the quality and creativity of their work.
🔹 Chatter post and comment automation: The team tackled a tricky problem: making sure important Chatter updates reach the right contact and opportunity records so fundraising and finance teams never miss a key detail. Because Flow can’t read Chatter’s underlying structure, they built an Apex solution that copies posts and comments to the records they mention and keeps those copies in sync when posts are edited.
🔹 Volunteer management system for a nonprofit partner: The team helped the charity replace manual forms, scattered files and spreadsheets with a streamlined system. It covers online volunteer registrations, one-click interview scheduling, digital agreements, and a secure volunteer portal where people can complete their training modules. They built it entirely with declarative tools so the customer can maintain it independently.
