Challenge

Tasmanian Refugee Legal Service was managing donor information and transactions across multiple disconnected platforms, including DonorBox, Grassrootz, and various subscriber lists. This made it difficult to get a clear, complete view of their supporters.
They also lacked a seamless, branded donation experience on their own website. Instead of using integrated forms connected to a central CRM, they relied on external systems for donations and receipts.

On top of this, many key processes were manual—such as welcoming new donors, and sending thank-you messages. This made it difficult to ensure supporters were properly acknowledged, relationships were maintained, and reporting was accurate.

Solution

Blaze Your Trail implemented Keela CRM to bring all donor data and processes into one place. This gave the team a single, reliable view of their supporters.

The team migrated key data into the new system, including individual and company donations from DonorBox and Grassrootz. During this process, organisation names were cleaned up to remove duplicates and inconsistencies, and custom fields were added to improve data quality and reporting.

To improve the donor experience, two new professional donation forms were set up—a Pop-Up Form and a recommended Embedded Form on the website. 

These were fully branded and connected directly to Keela, along with a custom transaction receipt template. The forms were then linked to the client’s Stripe account, allowing for smooth and secure payment processing.
