Introducing Edith Kemboi - our very first Blaze Your Trail alumna from Kenya in Africa.
Edith has a BSc in Mathematics and Computer Science from Meru University. After graduating in 2014comma she started working as a data researcher.
When Edith joined Blaze your Trail in August 2021 she had been a Salesforce user for 3 years and had just passed her Salesforce Administrator Certificate. Edith was looking for work experience that would help her on her journey to becoming a Salesforce Consultant. Edith passed her Service Cloud Certification in December 2021 thanks to a course of study provided by saasguru.
In her spare time Edith loves to watch soccer games and go hiking and travelling.
She had to turn down the first role she was offered as a Salesforce Administrator because it was a one-year contract, conditional on her moving to live three hours away, where she would be required to work within an office each day.
Edith wanted more job security and the ability to work remotely.
Last week Edith recently won a permanent full-time role as a Salesforce Administrator with an amazing NGO called myAgro.
myAgro works alongside farmers to help communities overcome poverty and food insecurity, supporting them to save up for packages of high-quality seeds, fertiliser, insurance, and vegetables.
And the best part of all? Edith can work remotely AND she will enjoy a substantial increase in her salary package.
Edith’s Salesforce career is providing so much job security and advancement. Congratulations Edith - we are so happy for you!
“It took me a whole month looking for an organisation to volunteer with to gain hands-on experience. I found Blaze Your Trail as my new home. The community was so welcoming. Despite different time zones I didn’t miss dialling in late at night! The training and continuous hands-on skills helped me gain a lot of confidence and it boosted my interview discussions. Blaze Your Trail also gave me the opportunity to help small charities maximise the use of salesforce which is a nice initiative”, says Edith.
