Introducing the St Kilda Mums Baby Safe App - designed to encourage the safe reuse of second hand goods.
We built the app to share safety information with our sister organisations across Australia, but realised that it had many more uses and audiences from social workers, to volunteers to donors and most importantly to people who want to waste less and buy/use preloved goods.
You can search, view and make informed decisions when considering buying a used product, or check the status of items you own, ensuring that you keep your precious bundle of joy safe and secure - as all Australian Product recalls from the last 20 years are listed.
The app was designed by Paula Nunez and me in 2018, and built with lots of love with Salesforce (Sales Cloud using the Project and Account objects), FormAssembly and Amazon (S3 and Lambda) by the talented Wayne Buchner from way+bu. The cost of the development was made possible by Cooper Investors over three years. Their Philanthropy Fund has distributed over $2 million AUD for communities around the world in the past 10 years.
