Introducing Sarika Kumari, who completed her Bachelors of Engineering majoring in Information Science in 2007. After graduating she worked as a Developer with Siemens in India.
Sarika moved to Australia after she married and spent almost 12 years out of the workforce.
She joined Blaze Your Trail in January 2022, seeking to boost her confidence and to put into practice all the things she learnt to pass her Salesforce Administrator certification.
Sarika put in more than 235 hours of volunteering, contributing to many volunteer projects including Prison Network and Olivia's Place.
One of our pro bono customers wrote this lovely letter to her (and copied Jessica in):
“I felt quite emotional [after working with you] for a few reasons. 1) It was such a pleasure to work with you. You were patient, collaborative, you followed through the considerable detail methodically with great focus and attention to the little things that make a difference. You obviously have the ability to see the big picture behind what you are doing and the importance of those little details. 2) You were giving of your time and expertise voluntarily. This is so important for a small non-profit like ours, and 3) I felt honoured to work with people from Blaze Your Trail, I have so much faith in the work and people of this organisation. It is inspiring.”
This month Sarika started her new job in Australia, as Salesforce Administrator with Destination NSW.
Sarika writes “Blaze Your Trail gave me an opportunity to work on complex requirements, including customer interactions. Thank you for giving me such a wonderful opportunity where I was able to improve my skills and knowledge which helped me gain the confidence to face interviews.
