Congratulations Anum Shahid. Another Blaze Your Trail volunteer employed!
Anum lives in Ontario, Canada and has been joining us for our morning classes since January 2022. She has a degree in Medical Technology from the DOW University of Health Sciences.
When she married and moved to Canada in 2015 she was unable to work in this field as her qualifications were not recognised - a challenge that many migrants face. Soon after she welcomed two beautiful children into the world.
In 2021 Anum set about learning Salesforce, and went onto pass her Administration Certificate Exam. She joined Blaze Your Trail's work experience program in January 2022 and gained lots of confidence through our probono charity projects, most recently for Olivia's Place in Warragul.
Anum recently started her new role as Sales Administration Coordinator at Picton Mahoney Asset Management.
“Every time I attended the morning meeting I was stepping into the future (quite literally as Australia is 12 hours ahead of Canada). Blaze Your Trail helped me gain a lot of confidence which soon started reflecting in the interview process. I joined Blaze Your Trail and learned how to implement Salesforce in real time through interaction with clients on an individual basis. Talking to clients and gathering their requirements really opened up the world of Salesforce for me, thank you Jessica and all of the Blaze your Trail members,” says Anum.
